Zac Sunderland is now the youngest person to have sailed around the world. He completed his solo circumnavigation on 16 July, 397 days after setting off on his great adventure. Zac departed from Marina Del Ray, California, mid June last year in his 36-ft sailboat 'Intrepid' purchased with his own money. Only around 250 people have circumnavigated the globe, which makes this 17 year old's epic journey all the more remarkable.

There's so much more potential that people can do with the right motivation and the right ambition in life, so, you know, my thing would just be to get out there and do hard things. Go for it."
